The third edition, CAT•3, has been received enthusiastically by Canadian teachers, principals and administrators.
Educators from all provinces and territories find the tests to be curriculum relevant. They find that the theme-based reading passages are the types of text students are taught to read and that the reading and language questions reflect the skills outlined in the curriculum. They also find that the mathematics tests cover all of the Mathematics strands, testing higher-order thinking and communication skills as well as computation skills.
