Information for ACSI Schools

Welcome ACSI Schools!

We warmly welcome ACSI schools across Canada to the Canadian Achievement Tests, Fourth Edition (CAT·4).

Support to You!

To make our program even more relevant to teachers, we recently published the Teacher Resource Manual. This guide will help teachers connect test results and pedagogy and we strongly encourage that this resource guide be part of your testing program. These activities are helpful for the planning of remediation based on CAT results.

Above all, we are committed to help you make your testing program effective. We fully understand that testing in itself does not improve education; it is the use of test results that can improve education! We offer a wide range of support resources to assist you in the interpretation of CAT results.

Special ACSI Norms

For Spring CAT·4 testing, CTC will produce special ACSI norms for Grades 1 through 12, referencing the performance of your students with their counterparts attending ACSI schools (in addition to the reported national norms). To ensure that you get ACSI norms you must:

  1. use the machine-scoring materials;
  2. complete testing between March 1 and April 30;
  3. return answer documents to CTC in Markham before May 1.

To be fair to those schools that complete their testing on schedule, we will not delay the scoring and reporting so that results can be returned in a timely manner.
